In this project I had to paint an art piece in the perceptive of Andy Warhol. I choose grumpy cat and painted him four different times such as Andy did for his Marilyn Monroe paintings. It was hard for me to make the cats look identical i shape. This was especially hard with the paint because I am not as well experienced with acrylics.
-In this piece I focused mostly on the multiple points of perspective. Prior to drawling this I had never attempted more than three point perspective. Although there are a few mistakes I do feel like it worked out well. The hardest part was the balcony on the right side. That is because of the angle from witch it comes out of the house and its rounded shape.
-The next thing was the details witch I spent a lot of time on because they also help put the house into perspective. One example is the lines on the roof, I was not planning on doing those until a student at my table suggested it. It was repetitive but worth it overall. -The last main focus I had during the drawling of this piece was the color. At first i was planning on leaving it black and white but the house that this represents had some color to it. Therefore to make it more realistic i added color. I am glad i did this because the color helps it stand out and gives it more of a realistic background. |
